Mobile Command Center Internet with Starlink and LTE
A command post is only as effective as its ability to communicate up, down, and laterally. NetCrate gives command staff a pre-configured connectivity layer — not a stack of separate modems and hotspots improvised on arrival — so the technical setup doesn't compete for attention with the incident itself.
What command staff actually need from connectivity
Bandwidth that holds under load
Command posts run incident management software, video calls with EOC leadership, and GIS/mapping tools simultaneously. Three-carrier failover means a single congested tower doesn't take the whole command post offline.
A network for command, separate from everyone else
NetCrate's private network is reserved for command staff and incident systems. A separate public network handles liaison officers, partner agencies, or press without touching command bandwidth.
Mobile, not fixed
Command posts relocate as an incident evolves. A rugged, self-contained case that doesn't require re-wiring at each new site keeps the connectivity layer from being the reason a move takes longer.
Power independence during transitions
Whether moving between vehicles, generators, or shore power, NetCrate's battery-backed transition keeps the connection up while the power source changes underneath it.
Typical command post setup
- Position the unit with reasonable sky visibility if Starlink is part of the configuration, and within normal cellular range for the carrier paths in use.
- Power on — SIMs and Starlink pairing are pre-configured before deployment, so there's no on-site activation step.
- Distribute network access: command staff and incident software connect to the private network; liaisons, partner agencies, or press connect to the public network.
- Relocate as needed — power down, move, power back on. No reconfiguration required between sites.
